As the holiday season officially kicks in for most of our Baby Steps families, I would like to share a little recap on 2019 and some of our exciting plans for 2020. 2019 has been a rollercoaster of fun, learning and growth, not only for the children but also for our staff and school as a whole. Our 2018 graduates have outperformed their peers at their relevant schools. Thank you Baby Steps teachers for preparing these children so well for formal schooling. Our current children have laughed, played and developed so well in all spheres. We LOOK FORWARD TO ANOTHER FUN FILLED YEAR TOGETHER in 2020. Our staff are constantly learning through distance education and weekend workshops. Their hard work has paid off and we have 2 more staff members that have completed their studies this year. A good teacher never stops learning! Our Baby Steps staff had an awesome Christmas party and prize giving at Rodizio in Bedfordview two weeks ago. We have an incredible staff of 40 ladies and 2 gentlemen; each and every person adds value to our school and plays a vital role. We are so proud of each and every staff member at Baby Steps. At this year’s prize giving, special acknowledgements went to: Best School Promoter Taryn Koch Most Dedicated Staff member Avril Yip Most Spirited Brenda Ramudzuli Hardest Worker Zanyiwe Duba Most improved Teacher Pretty Dube Assistant of the Year Sanele Mbambo Best new Teacher Thembi Msimanga Teacher with the most potential Chris Emma Golding and Pulane Mawelela Teacher of the year Karen Mataruka 2019 School Awards Health and Hygiene Riley Road Academic Excellence Kings Road and Riley Road Overall School of the year Kings road Our school as a whole has performed at a level to attract the interest of a well know private school, Assumption Convent. We are now proudly and officially affiliated with this Elite ISASA Private School. Baby Steps to Assumption will be opening in January 2020. We are also opening our forth school on the 1st April 2020 in Sandton. This school will go up to Grade 3 FOR NOW! This growth and development is only possible because of our support structure. Thank you so much to our parents for all your love, encouragement and support. Wishing all our families a blessed, safe Festive Season. God Bless!
